Engine Oil Pressure Warning Light
Drivers will see a picture of a dripping oil can when this light activates. Without sufficient lubrication from oil, your engine could sustain permanent damage.
Stop your car somewhere safe as soon as possible and check your oil levels. You may simply need to replenish your engine oil or there might be a leak in the system.
Don’t drive if the light is still on—contact your dealership for an inspection.
Charging System Warning Light
You will see an image of a battery with plus and minus signs inside of it. This light signals that your car battery isn’t charging, which means your Hyundai Santa Fe may fail to start. When you see this light, make your way to your Hyundai service center without stopping the engine.
Malfunction Indicator Lamp
This light looks like the outline of an engine. It illuminates when you start your ignition, but normally turns off after about three seconds. If yours remains visible, your emissions system requires maintenance.
Driving with this light on can cause damage to the emission control system, so contact your service center as soon as possible.
Electronic Stability Control (ESC) Indicator Light
This light shows an image of a car with zig-zagging marks behind it. If it stays solid for more than about three seconds after starting the engine, your electronic stability control system is not functioning properly. However, if the light is blinking, it means that the system is currently operating to stabilize your Santa Fe.
AUTO STOP Indicator Light
When you see the letter A encircled by an arrow, it relates to your engine’s idle stop and go function. A solid light indicates that your engine has stopped in place of idling. Your car is operating as intended to reduce engine wear and fuel usage.
When you press the acceleration pedal, the light will blink for about five seconds to show that the engine is restarting.
LED Headlight Warning Light
This image of a shining lightbulb containing an exclamation point appears when you start your engine. If it stays lit for more than about three seconds, your LED headlights are malfunctioning. If the light is blinking, there is an issue with a part related to your headlights.
Address this warning in the near future––continuing to drive might reduce the lifespan of your headlights.
